I was home sick, cranky, and we got into a shouting match before I hung up. I was upset with me, but more upset that the Do Not Call registry is apparently a lot of hooey.

Phone Number Report: We have been receiving DAILY calls from this number. Female caller starts out by saying there is "no problem with my account." (WHAT account? None, obviously.)Then they offer to lower my interest rates if I call them back, which I will never do. Then they say to press one of two numbers.....PLEASE, folks, NEVER NEVER DO THIS! Pressing the number may give them complete control of your phone and they will run up thousands of dollars in foreign calls which will show up on YOUR PHONE BILL. And if you do ever call them back, I guarantee they will surely wheedle your personal information out of you and proceed to steal from your accounts. I wish I could press a button to blow them up on the other end because their daily calls are making me feel like I am under siege in my own home. That cheery female voice is the voice of a sleazy CRIMINAL!

Then I started staying on the line and telling them to stop calling me. Before I finish the sentence, they hang up. I've yelled into the phone, blew a whistle, threatened to file complaints, etc. Still get calls. Its very annoying and I'd like it stopped. I too am on Do Not Call list.

The caller called at 9:30pm, a good 30 minutes after FTC telemarketing hours end. I filed a complaint with the FTC.
