However, from what I heard that was a whole scam - the people who ran that ended up selling the phone numbers of those who signed up - so now I'm even getting calls on my cell phone!

Phone Number Report: I answered the phone and was greeted by some brief music. Then a French speaking female asked for me by name. I replied that I didn't speak French and she said that an English speaking representative would get back to me. I hung up and made another call. As soon as I had finished my call, the same Atelka-Bell Can rung me again! This time I let my answering machine pick up. She said Hello, Bonjour a few times then hung up. I'm also on the Do Not Call List, but if you are a Bell customer this company can say that we have a pre-existing business relationship and thereby circumvent the law!

If you call their 877 number you get a message that clearly states they are with Bell yet when I called Bell to complain, they denied any affiliation with them. The web site for Altelka says they are a Canadian company but they seem to be snubbing the registry with immunity. The Do Not Call Registry is a joke.

This "service" is what I'm paying big bucks for every month? The trouble started when I signed up for the national "do not call" list. Don't do it! Other telemarketers started calling me too, who hadn't been calling before.
