Phone Number Report: Normally I hang up before these people even have a chance to say hi but for some reason they caught me in a vunerable and desperate financial struggling time. He said his name was Will White and that he could have my credit card balance cut out by at least $4,000.00 and that I had to pay "Financial Credit Services $1,200.00 first, promised that this was all legal and that it would save me thousands of dollars, and put me on hold at least 4 times then said he was transferring me over to his financial analyst or something like that then this woman comes on the phone said her name was Anna Dixon, it all just sounded so fake and phony and I am usually always on guard and never give in but they almost had me until I researched the phone number and saw that it is scam and probably some identity theft scam going on. I immediately called my credit card companies and told them what happened and they put a block on my credit card. Please don't fall for this ridiculous scam like I almost did.

Phone Number Report: DON'T DO WHAT I JUST DID!!!!company name: Financial Protection Center. on Feb. 3, they called saying they can help me lower finance charge on credit card, and become debt free 3-5 times faster than without their services. for 50 minutes they talked fast. i was dupped, con'd and agreed. very stupid. gave them cc #. now my credit card is charged $1,295. this morning i called 3xs to cancel, each time they hung up on me. i emailed complaint to the FTC re possible identity theft.

They charge your credit card before they save you the money and then never follow through with there claim. PURE SCAM!!!!! I also appears that they sell your credit info to thieves as we are now defending an airline ticket charge on a credit card we have not used for a couple of years and of course never booked a flight.

Phone Number Report: said they could lower interest rates on my cards--wanted 800 number on card and card number to see if i was eligible. gave to them then they said it would cost 900.00. i said no and backed out and then felt really stupid and called my credit card company and cancelled my card--I also put a fraud alert on my credit. Would suggest everyone to do that if you gave them any information. Learned my lesson the hard way.

Phone Number Report: Richard, who identified himself as a representative from Financial Protection Center, in Georgia, called on 22 Jan 2008 about lowering my credit card payments. He said they would negotiate with the CC companies on my behalf. After I said I was interested in hearing more, I was transfered to Artie who told me he needed my information to discuss how much they could save. Like an idiot I gave it to them. Artie told me that it would cost $1600 to work on my behalf and I told him I needed to think about it. I was then transferred to the manager (I didn't get his name, but he was very rude). The manager told me that if I declined, I was not eligible to negotiate a lower rate for a year. They were very pushy. I told him that I was interested, but wanted to look up the reputation and reliability of the company. He said I had to decide now and if I hung up without saying yes, I was declining. I told him that I couldn't say yes without looking into his company and he said "enjoy your debt" and hung up on me. I now have to call all my cards to ensure that no charges are made. Someone needs to put a stop to these people! I too am on the Do Not Call List. How are they getting our numbers?!!

Phone Number Report: The telephone call is a computer generated message stating this is your last chance to reduce your credit card interest rates. Then they tell you to press 1 to speak to a representative. When I pressed 1 I spoke with a Lisa Jones. I was put on hold numerous times throughout the call. I also spoke with a Valerie. The charge to my credit card was to be $1,995.00 for saving me a minimum of $4,000. on finance charges on my cards. I felt uncomfortable with all this so I went on my computer & plugged in 877 317 6098 on Google search engine & I started reading all the negative comments re the Financial Protection Center. They also explained to me that they were a federal regulated company. I spoke with my credit card company told them what had happened & they are working with me. I also plan to do some more digging into who/what this company really is. Next time I receive a telephone call that is computer generated I will hang up & not press any key to speak to anyone. In the computer generated recorded message they do not state the name of the company - it is like it could be one of your credit card companies making the call. Thank you.

I talked to at least 4 people that all said they could guarantee to lower my interest rates on my credit cards, save me $4,00-$6,000 and make me debt free 3-5 times faster. They hit one of my credit cards for $1450!!! When the papers to give them additional info didn't come, my daughter educated me to type in their phone to Google to see if a website came up. I got you. Shame on these crooks! We have to put a stop to low-life people who prey on the uninformed. They said the name was Financial Protection Center. Pat
