Phone Number Report: Friday afternoon a message was left on my phone concerning a debt of a deceased relative and to return the call and give them this reference number. I called the number and was told I was on a recorded line. I gave them the reference number and they wanted to know if I had authoization to make decisions over this relatives estate. I ask what this was about and they refused to give any information ie. privacy laws, unless I said yes to being authorized on making decisions on the deceased relatives estate. I told them I would not give them any information until I had more information on this matter. They kept asking me the same question Do you have authorization to make decisions on this estate.I was left with no alternative but to answer no I had no authorization. The call was terminated by them. My relative has been deceased for five years now. This is some kind of scam!

They say they are trying to collect from his estate, but if they say the name of the company, it is unintelligible. They also don't say who they represent and the amount that they say is owed does not match any outstanding debts of his. I've quit answering their calls.
