I told them that I've never heard of said person. I did ask them who they were, all they could tell me was "DCS" what do the initials stand for? We can't say. DECEITFUL!

Phone Number Report: Call from DCS, Diversified Collection Services - a collection agency, looking for a neighbor. Per federal law this is legal. However, they may only call you once (also per federal law). They also do not need to give you the name of the company unless you specifically ask them. Since the C in DCS stands for collection, they are not allowed to tell you the full name since it would then be sharing info with you that a debt is owed (also federal law). I don't agree with the federal law. I believe that calling neighbors (by the way I live a block away) should not be allowed. As a general rule, I believe that anyone who doesn't share the name on the caller ID is already trying to hide something. If they want to hide it, don't call.

I aksed for a company name or who the reference was in regard to and she said "Uh, um..I can give the company initials DCS." and hung up. Definitely not calling this number back!
