Here are my comments: 1. the telephone company that allows and gives the telephone number to such individuals/companies should be reprimanded and oblige to pay a penalty. 2. we "the consumers" i.e. the tel. recipients should be able to contact the telephone company directors (specially if they are public companies) so that we can lodge our complaints. 3. it helps to make these annoying telephone numbers "public" thus we know we did not miss an important call from a loved one or parent or children...from out of town. But, these unscrupulous companies should be banned and we "the people" should find efficient and effective way to stop this non-sense. a telephone is a privilege not a right. and the right to enter "my home" via telephone is to be legitimize to "wanted" calls not anonymous calls. I then figure it's a scam, so I ask if she's really from the CMHC and she says, she is calling on "behalf" of them, so I hang up.
