Phone Number Report: I recieved as well. Just remember to always try and get teh ACTUAL collection agency. Often they get 3rd parties to or fi you can the original company. Often times companies will "sell" your file to collections agencies because they dont feel like tracking payments themselves. And then those collections companies may have another company do the leg work for them. Even if they say that they have "sold your file to the collections and cant take payment" if you push enough often times they havent and will take your payment saving you a stain on yoru credit score. Also with so many people avoiding payments in this economy often times companies will send a collections agency after you without even waiting a week for your payment (like the hospital did with me for a copay we didnt even need to pay because my husband WORKS AS A NURSE FOR THE SAME HOSPITAL). Its plain laziness on their part! this stuff infuriates me. I was unemployed for sometime and got VERY good at sifting through the mess. Dont fall for scams. ONLY pay the person you ACTUALLY owe money to and NEVER pay anything over the phone. Demand they send you an actual invoice of the charges and what they are for with the companies name and contact info on the top of the correspondence. Pay by check so you have records of EVERYTHING and demand an invoice with your updated balance EVERY time.

They ask if this is "### street name" and if it is to press a specific number on the keypad to continue - in English and Spanish..then some kind of musical notes play that sent my dogs into a barking frenzy...thats when we just disconnected the robo call or what ever it was

Phone Number Report: This is a debt collector for PSE&G but it is NOT PSE&G. It is a firm that uses the "PSC&G" name (which on a phone recording sounds exactly like PSE&G). In and of itself, this is fradulent and misleading. They are trying to collect information like SSN, credit card number, etc. by asking you to enter it after the give you a code (to make it appear legit). DO NOT fall for this. They will use the information against you, and will claim that you provided it to them. With me, they made a simple mistake (wrong identity) but will not stop calling. You will never talk to a live person. I am going to report them to the FTC, and hopeully that will put an end to the calls and shut these clowns down for good. I am working to find the actual collection agency they are representing. I think it may be ER Solutions out of Phoenix. If so, this is the agency that I will pursue action against. Until then, I recommend that anyone who receives calls from "PSE&G" (really PSC&G) from 866-459-9173 either do not answer or choose the prompts that say you are not the person they are trying to reach and/or this is a wrong number. DO NOT--DO NOT--under any circumstances provide them with ANY information (even by touchpad on your phone). Report these calls here, and I will come back and post more information as it becomes available. These guys will be answering to the FTC soon enough.
