Phone Number Owner: Telemarketing company representing Verizon
Phone Number Report: Someone from this number called me about a week ago (call #1), representing herself as from Verizon, able to get me "better rates." It was definitely a bait and switch, as the plan she "offered" was not available in my area. In the end, I discovered that she was not FROM Verizon at all, but was trying to sell for them. I said she had wasted my time and do not call again. Today I received another call (call #2) from this same phone number. She asked me if I was the person who was in charge of the Verizon account (the usual telephone company banter). Without answering, I asked her if she was employed by Verizon. She said she could not tell me until I answered her question, which I believe she had no right to ask me if she was not a Verizon employee. Stalemate. She hung up the phone with a rude, angry comment. Incidentally, my number is on a do not call list.
