Phone Number Report: A young man called me last night claiming to be with my magazine publishers. I could tell right away that everything coming out of his mouth was scripted! He said that he needed to give me a security code because their office has had complaints about other companies pretending to be them in order to collect personal bank information. He went on to ask me personal questions like what is my date of birth... Why would they need that information?! I told him that I couldn't give out any information over the phone, and he proceeded to insure me that it was for verification purposes only. So, I told him to give me his name and number, and I would call him back. He hung up. Kinda fishy if ya ask me!
