Phone Number Report: First, and only time, I answered a man with a fake British accent kept repeating "Helloooo", even after I responded, but then wouldn't say anything else. Calls at least 8X a day. Can't be a bill collector because our credit is perfect. Probably telemarketer because it rings the same number of times every time. How can we block this? We are on a no-call list in a state that outlaws these cold calls.

Phone Number Report: I THINK THIS WAS A TELEMARKETER OR PERHAPS A BILL COLLECTOR. THE FOREIGN ACCENTED PERSON ASKED FOR MY HUSBAND AND SAID HE WAS FROM JC PENNEY'S HOWEVER WE DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THAT STORE. AFTER I SLAMMED THE PHONE DOWN,I REALIZED THAT IF IT WAS A BILL COLLECTOR IT WAS PROBABLY FOR MY ESTRANGED IN-LAWS WHO NEVER PAY THEIR BILLS AND MY HUSBAND IS A "JR" AND WE GET THEIR PROBLEM CALLS ALL THE TIME. DON'T CALL UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PERSON!!!

Then a person with a slight accent asked for Katherine. There is no Katherine at my house. When I told them that they wouldn't respond or hang up.

I'm doing the best I can, even have a payment plan set up, but they're calling me every hour, 7 days a week, beginning well before business hours. Phone Number Report: This is a recorded call. They say to call at 800 945 6596. I dont have any accounts past due, but it still worried me. When I call the number, they ask me to enter my account number. WHAT ACCOUNT NUMBER? I keep hitting the 0, and then they say they will transfer. Within 30 seconds, the connection is broken. I have never spoken to a person, and they call here at least once a day for the past few months. Now they are calling on my home and cell.

Agent would not report to me who they were (wrongly) seeking at this number. I told him to stop calling as he had broken the law - DNC listed for over 8 years, renewed 2 yrs ago. First call prior to allowed 0900 by NM statute.

I had 3 weeks until my scheduled $50 monthly payment for Amazon card which I was going to pay. What I find interesting (since I have always paid on time over minimum for 6 months) is that Amazon reps said they were not aware of the calls. WHO TO BELIEVE?
