Phone Number Report: A man phoned me from this number. He claimed an international IP server had given him information on my I.P address, and that my computer had unknowingly been downloading viruses. He wanted me to give him remote access to my computer so he could fix it(for free of course...)when i confronted him, he hung up on me. He also knew my last name and address.

Phone Number Report: Using some sort of predictive dial software... hence the long pause before the person begins talking (usually a sure sign of a telemarketer, or a scam). Identified themselves as some sort of global network thing, claiming that there was a problem with my microsoft computer. I'd heard of this scam before, so when I told him I didn't have a microsoft computer and they had their information wrong. Asked me 'how can that be' since they could see I had a microsoft computer. Told him I had an Apple computer... and he hung up.

Phone Number Report: They tried to tell me that my computer is badly infected and that I have numerous viruses on my computer and they they are receiving many error messages on their end, they can walk me thru it and fix my computer...they then said that my warranty from Microsoft has ran out they only give 6 months - so I said you are calling me now??? they said yes because my warranty ran out - said I dont trust anything you are saying and I am not experiencing anything wrong with my computer and no error messages I then preceeded to tell them that my computer is 6 years old and they are a little late for calling after my 6 month warranty ran out...he said for $110 I can purchase a 1 year warranty...I laughed and said I AM NOT INTERESTED STOP CALLING ME AND REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST...then hung up.
