Trying to collect on a Providian Master Card from 2004.
Stated they would honor a verbal cease from me.
My knowledge below:
These people repurchase these debts for about 1 to 3 cents per $100.00 owed. Information on a disk of usually 100,000 people.
They were politer than most, and provided address, and purpose when asked. Refreshingly bussineslike for a change! No threats, or obsencenitys from them.
My Statute has run out after three years in my State. That's why this is ZOMBIE Debt. The Living Dead that can't legally walk into any court for Collection Action/Judgement. I expect to hear no more from this, but if they did attempt to Sue Me then I simply show up in court with the ultimate defense. Past Statute of Limitations.
And Providian Credit was the Only Company ever fined Millions, and Censured by the State of California. They are no longer in Business, and were chopped up for sale to other Companies. Know Your Rights People, don't pay any of these Debts, especaially if you were Abused by Providian.
