Phone Number Report: I quit my land line phone so I would stop all these annoying calls. How do people get our cell phone numbers? Is nothing private anymore. We get calls anytime of the day or night and even on the week ends. This is againt the law.

I cannot detect if I am on a rotation "wait" system that is used by many tele-marketers. Our phone number is on the Do Not Call Registry, both State and Federal. after receiving a numbe rof these calls I have remained on the line and not hung up, hoping that i could hear a voice or someone says something, but so far this has not happened. I am tired of receiving these calls. I am disabled and it is never easy getting to the phone, it takes me time to answer. I have done several reverse phone # look-ups to no avail. My caller ID syas this call is coming from New York, but even though the area code is correct for NY, the prefix numbers are incorrect for that area. Can anyone help to identify this offender? and get them stopped!
