Phone Number Report: Supposedly, it's a debt collector. Google the phone # and you will find a TON of complaints. They scam non-profits by calling to collect payment for a publication, newsletter, etc., that you have or someone in your agency has supposedly purchased. They "verify" that you made the purchase by saying you gave your birthdate as confirmation. I think these are vultures who are going to be difficult to get rid of. They've called our office every day this week and twice today. When I told "Kathy" I knew they were a scam, she got offended. I hung up and a man called back (guess he's the "muscle" of the operation). I didn't answer the phone - the person who did put them in our CFO's voice mail. The company is in New York, I think.
