Phone Number Report: I received a call from a man that said he worked for the National Internet Security of Canada, and that my computer was sending several "junk files". He asked if I was near my computer and to log on. I told him that I was busy, and quickly hung up. This is a scam.

Phone Number Report: My wife did not let the guy finish: he asked her if she speaks English... so she told him in French she did not and hung up. We are in Quebec, so people who have a valid reason to call us (e.g. for service offers) always have resources in French. So it is at least a great filter for scams from the U.S., India and elsewhere, even in Canada.

Phone Number Report: Someone with a huge Arabic accent called me saying they where from "National Internet Security of Canada". Told me that my computer (which is turn off) was sending "Junk file". I work in IT, so I asked some questions about the issue and finally told them I'm going to validate their number and call back. Probably a scam.

Phone Number Report: This guy said he works for Network information service with office based in toronto ontario (Big lies). and that my computer is sending junk files into thier server and hence blocking thier server. The wants me to log into their web site and run a page so that they can have remote access and hence resolve the problem. I told them I will like to talk with an independent expert before I do anything. He got nervous and started telling me a bunch of stories and eventually ended the call.
