It is ironic that I was reading through the FCC Form 1088B complaint I filled out after "Heather from Card Services" called from 402-982-0771 on 6/10 when the newest call came in!

Instead, a woman insisted that I review my card information with her, even though she had no idea what my name or identity was. When I asked her which card she was calling about, she said, "visa and mastercard". When I pressed her on why she was calling or even for who or why, she hung up on me. DOESN'T the attorney general or federal trade commission follow this stuff? IF NOT, WHY NOT?

It was an automated message stating to call back to get a great interest rate on our credit card, but they never identified themselves as a company that has our card(s)and since I answered, they wanted me to press 1. Well, I did not do that because it could be possible for them to then use our line to make long distance or international calls. Our caller ID stated it was Card Services.

They claim they can lower the interest rates on your credit crads. *HOWEVER* they claim they can only do it IF your credit card is not maxed out. Please don't fall for this. Most CC companies will lower your interest rate if you just call and ask.

Phone Number Report: Heather in a pre-recorded message was saying that I could lower my interest rates but I could stay on the line and could speak to a live person. So I stayed on the line and a person came on the line and I asked who was calling and he wanted to know if I had a Visa and I again said who's calling. At that point he hung up. Isn't there a way to stop this kind of call? I also have reported this to the National Do Not Call Registry.

"Press 1 to speak to someone, 2 to no longer receive these messages." I pressed 2 and was connected to a man with a thick accent. I asked his name twice before he told me "Jack." I asked what company he was working for, he said "Visa and Master Card." I pointed out they were two different companies and he said that his company supplies credit cards to both (!). Then he asked if I had a credit card. I told him we are on a no call list and that what he is doing is illegal. He said, "I'm calling from your credit card company." I said, "No you're not, you just asked if I had a credit card, you don't even know!" He hung up. This is an obvious pfishing scheme - an attempt to steal your credit card information.
