I am sure they will call again tomorrow or in another few days with a different number coming up on the caller ID. It's just a thinly disguised attempt to gain as much information about you and your smart phone so they can hack into it. Protect yourself and install an app that will block all calls like this as well as gathering information for the FTC/FCC so they finally put a stop to these eggregious calls.

If I do happen to answer these calls I will hang up as soon as I realize the call is not a personal call to me but just a hit for money. Always it is about money, it is worshiped as a god.

Phone Number Report: Folks, do not answer this call or even call back to request a "do not call" me option. This company is breaking the law. I am on the government's 'Do Not Call' list -- and I suspect at least some of you are too. (The list allows you to input your land-line and wireless numbers.) It is illegal for a company to cold call anyone on the list - and they know it. They also know that it is rare for the government to go after companies who break that law. When you "option out" all you are doing is confirming that your number is active. That's even more important when cell phones are involved, as they have tended to turn over more often than lines. If your being called on a land-line, I suggest you consider getting a wireless phone (eg. some inexpensive Panasonics) which have call blocking. Most of our own land-line phones are wireless and have that call blocking option. It works great. It gets a bit more complicated with cell phones. Verizon Wireless, our current cell phone provider, offers 5 free blocks lasting up to 3 months. Thereafter, you can do another 5). They do offer a larger block list, but you have to pay extra. In short, if you are being called at your wireless number, and you don't have call blocking as part of your plan, just don't answer a call from area codes you do not recognize. That's not a perfect solution for wireless without call blocking, but it's better than trying to get them to take you off their list. As noted above, when you opt out all you do is let the company who's taking the illegal action in the first place know that your phone is active. Their computer system will record that info and some of these crooks will sell or rent their updated phone lists (now noting live phone numbers) to other such companies. -{TBear}-
