Phone Number Report: These people representing themselves as Card Services are such a scam. They phoned my elderly relative, I answered the phone and got the recording. I decided I would play along because this wasn't the 1st call. The operator/rep. female came on the line and did not state her name and wanted to ask me questions about my credit card. I did not answer her questions other than to say I do not have any credit cards and before I could finish the word cards she hung up on me. I bet money they call back before the end of the week. Something should be done about these people especially when it comes to the really elderly persons whose memory might not be all that great!

Phone Number Report: Complaint About 240-210-7016 Saturday morning at 11:00 AM Eastern Time, on October 4, 2008, I received recorded call that said they were calling from "Card Services" to lower my interest rates on my credit card, and this offer would be expiring so I better act now. The call said to press "1" to speak with a representative. Intuitively sensing this was a scam, I wanted to find out all the details. So I pressed "1" and was immediately connected to a female representative. I asked what bank she represented and she said "We're Card Services and we represent all 777 insured FDIC insured banks." She asked me if I want to lower my interest rate to 6% on my credit cards. I said yes, and said I only do business when I receive the offer in writing and asked her to send me the details. Expectedly, she hung up - because this was probably some rip off trying to steal social security card numbers credit card numbers.
