I don't know about this one since they left no message. But the one last week I told them that they were strange for using such a way to contact people. Who could trust a spoofed number? By the way, I thought I recalled posting this as a political call last week , but didn't see it posted here today.

I told her we had recieved numerou phone calls from this number and it comes up as 000-00-0000, she said they would give me their number once I spoke to their verification dept. , then she told me that this company wanted to send us some utility rebates and tech support info and they just needed to verify our information on file, after she connected me to their "verification dept" I was asked for my 1st and last name, I told them I would not give out that information as this is my workplace, then they asked if there was someone their who could give their name and verify the info, I told them NO thank you and hung up

If you purchase anything on the Net using a credit card, (and you have to give them your contact details including phone numbers), they sell your name and number to telemarketers. Here's how they do it: I purchased a program from GOOGLE a while ago, and a few days later cancelled it. Within 1 day I started to receive numbers calling me to purchase other products. What they do is call several times to verify your phone number. (They mask the number) No one speaks if you answer. This continues for about a week or more. After they verify your number, they sell it to other companies for telemarketing purposes. If you answer the calls from the telemarketers, simply tell them upfront to remove your number, and they do it. This stops all further calls.

Phone Number Report: On Sept 20, I received a call from "unknown" at 9:52pm waking me from a deep sleep. I feared it was my 92 year old mother or one of my chldren. It was someone saying they were from CCI and asking if I would answer survey questions, but when I said "are you serious?", they said they were sorry to bother me and hung up quickly before I had time to tell them to remove me from their list. Sept 21, I received call from 000-000-0000 again at 9:52pm from "CCI". I asked what that stood for and was told Communication Center Inc. When I explained the call was late at night and that I need to be up at 4am for work, the person told me they were allowed to call up to 10pm. When I asked to be taken off the list, I was told I would be but that I could be called for another survey. Needless to say, both times, my heart was racing and I had trouble falling back to sleep.
