It was Justin from a group claiming to represent the "Illinois Council of Police." I immediately told him I was tired of receiving calls from that number for the past four Sundays and to take me off his list. Then I immediately hung up. I understand, from reading the letter, that the telemarketers 'know' the limits of the law. They also know that we Americans are basically lazy and WON'T CONTACT the FCC. So, here's the deal. You want 'change'? Then go to the FCC website and fill out the complaint form! If we do NOTHING then WE ARE THE PROBLEM! If you are read this and do nothing then you are saying, "SURE! Phone Number Report: We received a call this morning. My husband answered the phone. They asked for me by name. My husband told them that we were on the no call list. He said that it was about a magazine order I had made. So my husband gave me the phone. This person kept telling me this was about my mastercard number ending in 5010. I told him I don't have a mastercard ending in that number. He said they wanted to send me some free gifts. I told him I did not want any free gifts. I told him was I not going to buy anything and he kept telling me that they were going to be sending some free gifts in the mail in a few days. I told him I do not want any free gifts and I hung up on him. This made me really angry. These people do not take no for an answer. I checked my phone for a name or phone number to make a complaint. They call under unknown name unknown number. Now I have to go out and pay to get my credit report to check and make sure no one got a mastercard under my name. This man had an east indian accent. How do you stop these people.
