At some point I actually intercepted a call and did the "press 4" thing to indicate I did not want further contact. When the calls kept coming, I decided to stay on the line and talk to a live person. The first time I gave sufficient information for them to disqualify me from needing their services. The operator hung up on me mid-interview. The next time I politely asked to speak to a supervisor or manager because I was still being called in spite of having asked to be taken off their call list...and that operator hung up on me mid-explanation. Today I decided to give the operator a yummy bogus debt figure & interest rate and then asked if I could speak with a supervisor or manager about it. That operator hung up on me immediately as well. Clearly these folks have been instructed to do nothing more than troll for prospects.
