Phone Number Report: some woman who spoke mid sentence on the message sounding real warm and friendly in the process, like she was someone trying to help me out and like she was someone who had already been helping me out with some info on my specific debt, which she had not because I'd never even talked to her before nor anyone else regarding my credit cards which are not behind in payments. The message was litterally this: ".....to reducing those monthly payments on your credit cards...uh... I wanted to let you know, that I did find a solution, weve got a program here that could possibly lower those interest rates to as low as 1.5% and cut those monthly payments in half for you.... uhm, so.... give me a call back.... and since you were.. only making those minimum payments this is..should be a good opportunity here for you, uhm my phone number here is 1....888...442-0668, and this will be that last courtesy call I give you, so be sure to give me a call back at 1-888-442-0668" That was exactly word for word of the message left. The tone was cheery, but like a person who already knows about your personal accounts and one with authority to cause you pain because of them if you ignore their call, but also at the same time just trying to really help you out here, even just like a good old friend or buddy too. I am not buying into into it. None of my creditors even have my cell number for one thing, two, none of my creditors are being paid only the minimum payments ( I always pay more) so her info is not based on any actual facts of mine that she would have. She sounds so "authoritarian" and because of her tone I almost called her back at first because of her tone and my feeling that I missed part of her message, and that she was someone I knew or had alady dealt with, I had to reason with myself and realize noone had any of the info she portrayed herself to be actively involveed with. Don't buy into it! It can't be right.I recently (against my better judgement) entered an online sweepstakes that "required" a phone number and used my cell and now I regret it, especially if this is a sign of thinsg to come, tellemarketers, and scammers!!!! The call was from Saginaw, MI, and the caller actually called from the phone number 989-497-1942
