Phone Number Report: I was called several times and they were attempting to collect a debt for Check n Go that I owed. I spoke with 4 different people who gave me varying amounts I could pay to get rid of this debt. They claimed the name of their comany was Debt Check Solutions. Each time I was threatened with jail. When I received the last call Lynn Wilson told me if I did not pay I would be jailed and transported to NY state for a felony check fraud charge. She could get this taken care of for $107, which I agreed to pay with a Walmart check card. She was going to send me a receipt for this in case another company tried to collect again. As of today I have not received this so called receipt, and the number 877-840-2344 is busy all day long for the past three weeks. The Walmart card company told me they had another number 877-309-8871 but the message is a woman who simply says HI, we are not available. I believe this is a scam. I called Check n Go and they do not know this company. I want my money back.

I received a letter about a bill that was within 30 days, and my insurance company had not sent out an EOB yet. Fine and well. I started receiving calls the next week, still not having received an EOB. They did not identify themselves and started asking for my information (DOB). I immediately hung up, as I will not be a party to identity theft. I have received another letter stating (direct quote) - "we would like to offer you a one-time, 20% settlement offer. If you submit 20% of your outstanding bill by December 31, 2011, we will consider this account paid in full." I thought this was a very generous, so I called in, prepared to pay the full amount, but thinking that the 20% offer since it was in writing was quite good and now understanding what it was for since the EOB had arrived, I felt as though this was a win win situation. Spoke with the first rep after 8 calls (their phones, apparently go straight to AT&T sometimes for some reason), and she informed me that it was a 20% DISCOUNT, not 20% of the bill. Now, as I read it and reread the text I quoted above, it said you could pay 20% of your outstanding bill and it would be considered paid in full. She disagreed and said it was "easily misread" and I was wrong. I asked to speak with a manager. After being put on hold, the phone went dead after about 2 minutes. I called in, again going through the gymnastics with their phone system, and asked to speak with a manager since the call was cut off. I believe it was the same rep, and I was then connected to Chad. The fun was just beginning. Chad immediately said that he knew why I was calling and explained that the letter contained an error and that it was supposed to be a 20% discount, not 20% of the bill. Now, this was not what the first rep had indicated, she told me that I misunderstood it. So Chad proceeded to try and tell me that a correction letter went out the next day explaining the mistake. I am human and understand mistakes, but I received no such letter. I did not demand the offer, either, since I'm sure they don't trust someone with the limited intellect of Chad (we'll get more about that in a moment) with actual power to discount fees. When I told Chad I had not received anything, he replied that it was sent out the next day again, then somehow managed to turn off the computer he was working on. He asked me for my phone number, since he would have to call me back because, apparently, her computer was controlling the phone. Another lie, Chad, since if you powered it off and it was, indeed, powering the phone, it would have ended the call right then and there. Not the case. We're up to two lies, and I'll show you why. The computer, now back on and completely rebooted in a remarkable 22 seconds, including a restart of whatever application they use, showed that a letter had not, in fact, been sent to me indicating the error, so Chad had lied about it being sent out. I proceeded to tell Chad again that I had no letter, and he said that one was sent out on November 30, 2011. It is December 2, 2011, and he is across the country. He expects the postal service to have a letter to me in less than 2 days time in regular mail? Not happening. It gets better. Chad goes on to tell me that he was wrong, that there was no letter sent out on the 30th, and that he could have one sent out "if you want me to." I'm not sure, Chad, but I don't think I believe you on that one, and I'm certainly not going to hold my breath waiting for what would now be the third letter in your imagination that went out. I contacted the original facility and asked them to start using people who not only know how to set up a phone system, but aren't pathological liars. Calls will be received multiple times a day, and the numbers will routinely change to cover actions. This solicitation for personal information has been going on for over 4 years in the US. Just because the number is 877, does NOT mean that the call originates from the US, these people can be anywhere in the world thanks to call routing availabilities. Which is exactly why it has been going on for so long. Land lines, and cell phones.

Other web sites say this phone number is from some type of collection agency. Well they got the wrong person, because I don't owe anyone money.
