I receieved a call stating that I owed a debt of $174.25 to Windstream/Timewarner/Alltel for past services; that the last payment they recieved was in 2005. This debt is an alleged debt incurred allegedly by my ex-wife who had internet services under her new married name, Shamburger. We've been divorced since 2002. Why then are they calling me and stating that it was on my credit report and social? I don't know. But I have never used Winstream for any type of services. I did not take their one time offer to pay the $174.25. They did state that most of their customers had the same problem of being called due to their ex's financial irresponsibilities, etc, etc. I have asked them to mail me a printed bill to better identify them, and determine how and why they are attempting to collect an alleged debt that has been already paid. Their on-hold recording advertised "KCL Finanicial Credit Line or Credit solutions", etc,, i.e. something similiar.

When I answered the phone, the person asked if I had any debt that was still owed so I'm presuming it's some type of financial company and I told them the number they called was a cell phone that was registered with the national do not call list. I also told him to stop calling me and to take me off their call list. They called again at 4:05pm that same day!! They called me again on September 19, 2008 at 9:44am. They never leave messages when they call, but when I try to call them, the number is always busy. I became so frustrated and angry about this situation that I called my cell phone provider and filed a complaint with them. They are putting a block on my cell phone which is only good for 60 days but hopefully, these idiots will get the hint.
