It happened to me and my hubby and as soon as I unsubscribed to the 'answering service' thru my phone company, all the 'bogus' calls stopped almost immediately.Someone pretended to be a credit card company that my hubby is overdrawn with and almost scammed him (us) out of big bucks until I started investigating and discovered that our messages had been hacked into.SO...cancel your answering service with your phone company and see if the bogus calls stop...you have nothing to lose and peace of mind to gain!!
