I asked her how she got my number, she again said she was looking for an individual with a foreign name. I asked her what law firm she was with, the name was different than the name Mitchell and Kay. It was something else. I told her that no one by that name ever owned this number before and I have a list to prove it. Immediately I heard a man in the background dictating to her what to say. He also sounded foreign but spoke English. She moved to say she would remove my number from the list. I told them their name is different from the one attached to the listing. The man dictated her to end the call and she immediately hurried to get off the line after I told her they were not legitimate or a real debt collector or law firm. Whoever they are, they are not a law firm, not a debt collector. It is highly possible they are some kind of a Phishing scam or other type of scam. Not to mention they are calling at 8pm in the evening. I've never heard of a law firm outsourcing debt collecting from a foreign country. They are not who they say they are, they are not legitimate and it is highly possible they are a foreign scam ring phishing for information. It is not hard to send letters claiming they are collecting, not hard to freeze someone's account and make it look like someone else did it, and not hard to call claiming to be someone your not.
