Phone Number Report: The number (817) 924-7550 does belong to 911. I work for a company where I operate a PBX phone system. I placed a call on hold while I grabbed another call. Once I finished one of the calls, I was getting ready to dial out when I was interrupted by a visitor at my desk. I immediately hung up, but remembered dialing 9 + 1. The visitor left my desk and I picked the call up that I had on hold. A few minutes later, the phone started beeping in my ear because (817) 924-7550 was calling on the other line. Instead of answering the call, I thought I would let it go to voicemail. The caller did not a message. Instead they called back a few minutes later. I answered and they said they were 911. They asked what my emergency was and asked me to verify my address. I told them that I accidently dialed them. After that, I went down to the PBX in the computer room and printed a report that actually showed I had accidently dialed 911.
