These collectors seem to have a 'good, steady job' as long as the rest of us are struggling! And they don't accept any excuses why you can't pay THEIR bill!! Okay, so if you can't afford to pay your bills, don't put it on the card! But there are reasons that you HAVE to put it on the card! Fuel for your vehicle to get to work, or an appliance broke which you need to replace, etc. Certainly not frivilous stuff! I've had "ARO INC." calling me for a long time and I have no idea what debt they are trying to collect, as I apply for a card and seem to get it! So I don't know what they want! So I went to Future shop, CTC may have them too, and bought a Panasonic phone (with a cordless extension that I don't use -- yet!) and it offers "Call Block"!! It runs about $100.00 and you don't need to sign up to your phone carrier for the extra service, ... probably just 'call display'. Anyway, the phone rings once (that you hear) but the caller gets a busy signal!! No more running to the phone to find it's a 'collector' calling! It works for me!
