She was extremely rude, saying "Hmm...it's 10:00 in the morning...hmm, I don't know what time you people work...hmm, I don't know what kind of business this is, but, it's 10:00 in the morning..." then she said it was "extremely urgent" that I call her back. I have gotten many phone calls lately coming from the same 954 area code number (why do these people not realize that everybody has caller ID these days?), leaving cell phone numbers with area codes all over the country as their callback numbers. It's gotten so bad that I'm going to start filing complaints on the cell phone numbers they're leaving as well as on the originating number. I believe these calls to be related to a company that was e-mailing and calling me for some time to try and get me to sign up for a merchant account with them. When their direct approach didn't work, they resorted to deception, saying that "someone from my company" had called them (I'm a one-person business). Two used that approach, then there was this rude woman this morning. I have had it! I'm a writer who has had to resort to turning off the ringer on my business line due to all the sales calls I get through the day, and into the evening, that interrupt my train of thought while I'm trying to work. This one company has been the worst offender lately, calling me from early morning into the evening, sometimes calling right back a second time. They need to be stopped!
