The caller wished to speak to another family member regarding free financial aid to pay bills, debts etc. I stated that the person wasn't home so the caller said "well, I'll speak to you then" and started again. The caller ID shows up as "Weehauken NJ". Reverse number lookup showed that this is a cellphone number. Websearch showed that many others have received repeated calls from this number - many of them stated the person was touting Acai Berry, some stated that calling back resulted in the call not going through. When I called the number, the recorded message began "Thank you for calling the Customer Service Department..." The option for speaking to someone was there, but the call was on hold for a long time and I hung up without getting any human on the line. This is a scam, please look into this to potentially save a lot of unwitting victims.

It seems that once I firmly stated that I was not interested and asked them to stop calling me, the phone calls have become excessive. I detailed these facts above in a Complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx), which shares its database with law enforcement and the FBI. I hope all of us here get some relief and resolution. Perhaps if more people complained via the link above, we could overwhelmingly convince law enforcement to squelch these offenders!
