Phone Number Report: pretended to be a certain female friend that i met on a phone dating service. wanted to know more about me, was interested in me, and asked serious relationship questions. however, she acted very emotionless and odd. kept being texted at 1:43 or so, every nite. when asked about the odd time of texting, she said she was on business in nigeria. supposed art business. total suspicion happened, when she claimed to have a problem receiving money orders from a client. she needed that money for a "flight fund". the money orders were not acceptable in africa. she wondered if i could help her out. and, like in previous instances, when i asked the wrong type of question, she wouldnt respond. she would just text me 18-24 hours later. oddly, acting like just another day, and never continuing from where we left off the previous day. this is a sad attack on people's emotions. pretending to be someone else and scam you for money.

Phone Number Report: Well, it is actually a 'tele-research' company, but I still see it as telemarketing. They own a block of phone numbers which are all essentially 604-664-24**. I've been called by them every day this week, each call actually does come up properly on caller id as 'Synovate Western'. Personally, I just find them very, very annoying.

Spoke to the woman who answered the phone, told her I suspected they were connected to the annoying "Card Services" calls I had been getting inundated with. She didn't deny it - instead she asked if I wanted placed on their do not call list. No kidding - I'm on the DNC national registry! :-p Anyhow, she stated the manager would be in Monday and it would be done. We'll see. Also submitted this info to the FTC where she didn't deny it and went immediately into script to place me on a do not call list. Hope this info helps some of you!

Phone Number Report: Just got a call from my mother saying she just got a call that said it was from my father on the caller ID. What threw he off was the 888, because my father's cell number starts with 888. She answered it and it was a telemarketer offering Master Card credit cards. She thought it was my father or brother (same name)playing a joke with a bad indian accent. So, now they are spoofing the name of who they are calling on the caller ID.
